JAMALPUR, September 1, 2026(BSS)- The 48th founding anniversary of BNP was celebrated  amidst much enthusiasm in the district today.

Marking the day BNP and its front organisations took out programs including rally , discussion meeting and cultural programs.

A discussion meeting was held at Foujdari intersection area in the town.

Secretary, District BNP, Advocate Shah Md Wares Ali Mamun, MP spoke at the meeting as chief guest.
He said during BNP rule Bangladesh achieved success in all sectors. He said during the tenure of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman Bangladesh achieved autarky in food and exported crops.

He said subsequently uncompromised leader Khaleda Zia took the leadership and had continued the development trend. He said now people of the country who love and believe BNP have given the responsibility to Tarique Rahman to run the country. He said Jamaat and his allies are hatching conspiracy but BNP with the people will frustrate all the conspiracy.

BNP leaders - Shahidur Rahman Khan Dulal , Lokman Hossain Lotan, Liyakat Ali, Ahsanuzzaman Rumel, Shafiur Rahman Safi, Shah  Masud,  , Ruhul Amin Milon, Sajib Khan and Nurul Momin Kawsar spoke among others at the meeting.

The meeting was followed by a mammoth rally led by Wares Ali Mamun, MP. The rally after parading the main roads ended at Doyamoyee intersection in the town.
