RANGPUR, Sept 1, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an 
alleged drug dealer along with 990 pieces of Yaba tablets from Goghat 
Majipara village under Sadar Police Station of Gaibandha district on Monday 
night.
 
The detainee is Shri Milan Chowdhury, 38, son of Shri Mehelal Chowdhury of 
the same village, a press release signed by RAB-13's Senior Assistant 
Director (Media) Biplab Kumar Goswami said here this afternoon.
 
On a tip-off, an operational team of the RAB-13 arrested the man red-handed 
with the contraband drugs from Goghat Majipara village at around 8:30 pm. 
 
After filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, in this incident, 
the elite force handed over the seized drugs and the arrested persons to 
Sadar Police Station in Gaibandha district, the release added.
