FARIDPUR, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS) - Three motorcyclists were killed when a speeding bus hit their motorcycle in Nawpara Bus Stand area under Bhanga upazila of the district on Saturday.

The deceased were Shayan, 22, son of Daliluddin Molla of Laskardia area in Nagarkanda upazila, Nayan, 23, son of Enayet and Siam Sheikh, 24, son of Azgar Sheikh, residents of the same area.

The accident occurred on the Faridpur-Barishal highway when a bus hit the motorcycle, leaving bike rider Shayan dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Both succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment on Sunday morning.

They were returning home towards Nagarkanda from Bhanga on the motorcycle.

Bhanga Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter and said legal procedures concerning the deaths are underway.
