KHULNA, Aug 20, 2026 (BSS) - All activities related to the biennial election
2026 of the board of directors of the Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(KCCI) have been suspended as a writ petition is pending before the High
Court Division.

The decision was announced in a notice signed by Election Board Chairman Md
Shahinuzzaman today.

According to the notice, a writ petition, numbered 8791/2026, regarding the
KCCI board election is currently under trial before the High Court Division.

All election-related activities will remain suspended until the final
disposal of the case, it added.

Copies of the notice have been sent to the director general of the Ministry
of Commerce, the Khulna divisional commissioner, the chamber administrator,
the chairman of the Election Appeal Board and other concerned officials and
offices.
