GAIBANDHA, Aug 17, 2026 (BSS) - A 32-year-old content creator, identified as Shawon Mia, was killed in a road accident in Gobindaganj upazila of the district today.

The accident occurred around 11.00 am in Islampur Current More area on the Gobindaganj-Raja Birat Road.

Shawon, a resident of Daridah Sardar Para village in Mokamtola upazila of Bogura district, had been working as a content creator on Facebook for a long time.

According to police, he was riding a motorcycle while making video. At one point, he reportedly took both hands off the motorcycle's handlebar. After travelling some distance, he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a roadside tree.

Locals rescued him in an injured condition and were taking him to the Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex when he died.

Gobindaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mozammel Haque confirmed the incident.
