RANGPUR, Aug 17, 2026 (BSS) - In the last 24 hours till this morning, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13, in separate drives, seized large quantities of drugs and arrested four persons from different places in Rangpur, Nilphamari and Lalmonirhat districts.

The seized drugs included 258 pieces of Yaba tablets and 164 bottles of phensedyl-like ESkuf syrup. 

A press release signed by RAB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami confirmed the information here today.

On a tip-off, a RAB-13 team from Rangpur seized 258 pieces of Yaba tablets. It arrested Md Sohel, 43, of Cumilla and Fuad Hossain, 39, of Sadar upazila in Rangpur, from Islampur village under Mithapukur police station of Rangpur district.

Another team of RAB-13 from Nilphamari Camp arrested Md Belal Hossain, 41, of village Dhaijan Putimari with 18 bottles of ESkuf syrup from Uttar Bherveri village under Kishoreganj police station of Nilphamari district.

In a separate operation, a RAB-13 team from Rangpur arrested Md Moniruzzaman, 23, from Khamarbhati village under Kaliganj police station of Lalmonirhat district with 147 bottles of illegal ESkuf syrup.

After filing three separate cases, the elite force handed over the arrested persons and seized the drugs to Mithapukur, Kishoreganj and Kaliganj police stations, respectively, for further legal action.
