KHULNA, Aug 1, 2026 (BSS) – Khulna City BNP General Secretary Shafiqul Alam Tuhin has provided financial assistance to a kidney patient in the city, reaffirming his commitment to supporting the patient's treatment. 

The beneficiary, 32-year-old Rana, a resident of Khajurer Culvert area under Ward No. 31, has been bedridden for the last three years due to chronic kidney disease. 

According to family members, Rana requires medicines costing around Tk 1,800 to Tk 2,000 daily, but financial hardship has made it increasingly difficult to continue his treatment. 

His illness has also deprived the family of its main source of income. 

After learning about Rana's condition, Tuhin instructed local BNP leaders to extend immediate support. 

Following his directive, leaders and activists, with the assistance of Ward No. 31 BNP General Secretary Amin Ahmed, visited Rana's residence on Friday, inquired about his treatment and overall condition, and handed over cash assistance on behalf of Tuhin. 

During the visit, BNP leaders assured the family of continued support for Rana's treatment and other future needs. 

Rana's family expressed gratitude to Shafiqul Alam Tuhin and the party leaders for standing by them during their difficult time.
