The RCC Administrator has instructed officials and employees concerned to strengthen cleanliness activities, mosquito control measures, silt removal, tree plantation, greening and beautification programmes to build a clean, safe and livable city.

Local residents welcomed the initiative. Ariful Islam Palash of Dorikharbona area said the drain in the Greater Road area had not been cleaned for a long time, causing rainwater stagnation on roads.
