KHULNA, July 30, 2026 (BSS) – A joint team of RAB-6, Khulna, and RAB-7, Chattogram, arrested four suspected members of an organised theft syndicate and recovered a stolen excavator during a raid in Khulna in the early hours of today.

According to a press release issued today, the raid was conducted at around 3:50 am in the Bakultala Mor area under Arongghata Police Station following a tip-off.

The arrestees were identified as Md. Iqbal Hossain, 35, Wahid, 25, Md. Ekram Hossain, 46, and Md. Abdul Shukur, 32.
RAB said the four were arrested along with the stolen excavator in connection with an organised theft case filed with Chandgaon Police Station.

A preliminary investigation found their alleged involvement in an organised theft ring, while the stolen excavator was recovered from their possession, the elite force said.

The recovered excavator, other seized evidence, and the accused were later handed over to Arongghata Police Station for legal action, the press release added.
