RAJSHAHI, July 26, 2026 (BSS) - The Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) today discussed ways to prevent dengue outbreak and waterlogging here at a views exchange meeting with the Real Estate and Developers Association (REDA).
RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton attended the programme as the chief guest, held at the meeting room of Nagar Bhaban.
The city belongs to all and cooperation from all quarters requires building the city more beautifully, said Riton.
The RCC chief said more STS (Secondary Transfer Stations) will be built to modernize waste management. Larvicide and adulticide spray activities are ongoing to control mosquitoes.
He urged vigilance to control the dengue outbreak while requesting the city dwellers to keep clean their own homes and premises.
Shared vision can turn Rajshahi into a clean, healthy and waterlogging-free city, said Riton, seeking cooperation from REDA in this regard.
Chief Health Officer Dr. F A M Anjuman Ara Begum presented keynote on ways to prevent dengue.
REDA General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Kazi, among others, spoke at the meeting, with RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim in the chair.
