CHUADANGA, July 22, 2026 (BSS) - A teenage motorcycle mechanic was killed
while he was test-riding a motorcycle that collided head-on with a truck at
Alukdia Bazar in Sadar upazila here this morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdullah, 14, son of Sahabuddin of Taltala
village in Chuadanga municipality. He worked at a motorcycle servicing shop
in Alukdia Bazar.
Abdullah had been repairing motorcycles at the workshop since this morning.
After completing repairs on a motorcycle, he took it onto the Chuadanga-
Meherpur highway for a routine test ride to check whether it was functioning
properly.
When he reached the area, the motorcycle collided head-on with a truck,
leaving him critically injured.
Locals rescued Abdullah and rushed him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, but he
died on the way, they said.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Mizanur Rahman
confirmed the matter and said the body was handed over to the family for
burial without an autopsy as no complaint had been filed.
