RAJSHAHI, July 21, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court has sentenced two persons arrested in an anti-drug

operation in the district to 25 days' simple imprisonment.

The convicted persons are Tutul, 34, son of late Kader of Shekherchak Bihari Bagan area under

Boalia Police Station in Rajshahi Metropolitan, and Rohid, 25, son of Md. Raka of the same area.

Earlier, on Monday, Boalia Police conducted an anti-drug operation, arrested them for violating

Section 36(5) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, and produced them before the mobile court.

The mobile court, conducted by an Executive Magistrate of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, also

fined the convicts Tk 50 each.

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police said regular anti-drug operations are being conducted across the

metropolis to curb drug-related crimes and maintain law and order. Such operations will continue

in the future.
