Future dev will be implemented based on citizen's opinion: RCC Administrator

RAJSHAHI, July 20, 2026 (BSS)- A meeting of the Town-Level Coordination Committee (TLCC) was held under the Resilient Urban and Territorial 
Development Project (RUTDP) of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), funded by the World Bank (WB).

The meeting was held today at the Conference Room of Nagar Bhaban with Administrator of RCC Mahfuzur Rahman Riton in the chair.
 
At the meeting, Riton said officials and employees are working tirelessly to implement various works including infrastructure development of the city, 
cleanliness, drain cleaning to resolve waterlogging and tree plantation for greening.
 
The Administrator said expansion of Sonadighi Mosque, development of Central Park and Shaheed Zia Shishu Park, development of the road from Gulgofur 
Petrol Pump to Saheb Bazar, widening and development of the city's busiest intersections including Railgate Barnali, Talaimari intersection, Nowdapara 
Amchattar will be done.

To make civic services more dynamic, RCC will identify problems at the field level and take up projects through coordination meetings with representatives 
of all government and private institutions. 
 
The overall activities of the RUTDP project were presented by Ahmed Al Moin Parag, Superintending Engineer of the RCC.

In the meeting conducted by RCC Urban Planner Boni Ahsan, members of the committee expressed various opinions on the development of Rajshahi 
metropolis.

The speakers thanked the RCC Administrator for various steps taken to ensure urban development and civic services and praised him.
 
Speakers at the meeting included RCC Chief Executive Officer Md. Rezaul Karim and others.
 
Present at the meeting were Rajshahi Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Director Department of Environment Tasmina Khatun, and 
other members of the committee.
