CHATTOGRAM, May 23, 2026 (BSS) - RAB-7 today arrested a van driver and recovered 23,660 yaba pills from his possession near the Shah Mohsen Aulia (R.) shrine in Fakirnirhat area under Karnaphuli upazila of the district.

The arrestee, identified as Nazmul Haque (37)  from Fazilpur, Noakhali, was allegedly  transporting the contraband from Cox's Bazar to Chattogram. The estimated value of the seized yaba is around Tk 70.98 lakh. 

The van used for drug transportation was also confiscated. 

The driver and the drugs have been handed over to Karnaphuli Police Station for legal action.
