PANCHAGARH, May 22, 2026 (BSS) - A three-year-old boy was killed today after being run over by a battery-powered easy bike (auto-rickshaw) in the Paschim Khalpara area of Harivasa Union under Panchagarh Sadar Upazila.

The deceased was identified as Lamim, son of local truck driver Mamun.

Police said Lamim's house is located beside the Tunirhat-Harivasa regional road. In the morning, the child came out of the house while playing and was beside the road. At that time, a speeding easy bike carrying betel nuts to Tunirhat Supari Market ran over him, killing him on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Panchagarh Sadar Police Station, Ashraful Islam, confirmed the incident.
