JASHORE, Mar 26, 2026 (BSS)– Islamic Foundation (IF) in Jashore organised a series of programmes including Khatme Quran, discussion and doa mahfil marking the Great Independence Day 2026.

The discussion held this morning at the IF auditorium, highlighted the spirit of the Liberation War, national development, prosperity and the importance of unity.

Jashore Zila Parishad Administrator Delwar Hossain Khokon attended the programme as the chief guest, while Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman spoke as a special guest.

Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Jashore Billal Bin Kashem presided over the function. 

Maulana Ashrakh Ali and Md. Masum Billah also addressed the event, among others.

Distinguished citizens, ulema, people from different professions, and officials and employees of Islamic Foundation were present at the programme.

Speakers on the occasion said that social justice, expansion of education and promotion of moral values are essential to reach the benefits of independence at every household. 

They also called for collective efforts to work for the welfare of the country and its people.

Earlier, a Khatme Quran and a special doa mahfil were held, offering prayers for the peace and prosperity of the nation and seeking eternal peace for the souls of the martyrs of the Liberation War. 

The doa was conducted by Maulana Moinuddin, Imam and Khatib of Jashore Model Mosque.
