RAJSHAHI, Dec 29, 2021 (BSS) - Booster dose vaccination against Covid-19 began here today to control the spread of the deadly virus infection.

   Local Department of Health has been conducting the inoculation programme at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) and Rajshahi Divisional Police Hospital centers.

 On the opening day today, 1,200 people from various sections were vaccinated with the booster dose in the two centres.

   People above 60 years, who have crossed six months of their second dose vaccines, were given the booster dose. Side by side with the booster dose, vaccination of Pfizer 1st and 2nd doses, second dose of Vero Cell and second dose of AstraZeneca are going on at RMCH center.

   Chief Health Officer of Rajshahi City Corporation Dr Anjuman Ara Begum told BSS that above 60 years people are being given priority in terms of the booster dose vaccination.

   Some other front lining people will also get booster dose vaccines, she added.
