BOGURA, Jan 12, 2026 (BSS)-  One person was killed in a road accident in Mail Bus Stand area in Dupchanchia municipality on the Bogura-Naogaon highway this afternoon.

The deceased was Parvez Hossain, 25, of Kurahara village in Shivganj upazila of the district. He was an employee of Azad Paper Mills.

Quoting locals, police said the accident occurred when a pickup van hit a motorcycle, leaving bike rider Parvez killed on the spot.

However, the driver of the pickup van fled the scene.

Police said that they recovered the body from the spot.
