KHULNA, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS) -A businessman was killed in a road accident on Saturday night on the bypass road near Moyuri Residential Area.

The deceased was identified as Babu Hossain,35, son of Oziar Molla of Ward No. 5 in Koyra upazila, Khulna.

Babul, owner of Alhamdulliah Enterprise at Momin Market in Koyra, was critically injured after his motorcycle collided head-on with a truck while heading to Khulna around 9:30 pm, Khairul Bashar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Harintana Police Station confirmed.

He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), where doctors pronounced him dead.

The truck driver ran away with the vehicle, and Babul's body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem.

Necessary steps are underway to file a case," the OC added.
