DINAJPUR, Jan 2, 2026 (BSS) - A doa-mahfil was held in the district today under the initiative of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), seeking eternal peace of the soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programme was organised after Maghrib prayers at the district BNP office on Jail Road in Dinajpur town, where special prayers were offered.

Central BNP member, BNP-nominated candidate for the upcoming national parliamentary election from Dinajpur-3 (Sadar) constituency and former mayor Syed Jahangir Alam, district BNP senior vice-president Md Mokarram Hossain, vice-presidents Mahbub Ahmed and Akhtaruzzaman Jewel, organising secretary Aminul Islam Munna, publicity secretary Babu Chowdhury, municipal BNP president Md Ziaur Rahman Zia and general secretary Mohiuddin Mondal Babul attended the programme.

District Jubo Dal convener AKM Masudul Islam Masud, district Chhatra Dal president Md Rubel Islam and general secretary Md Abuzar Setu, district Mohila Dal president Jinat Ara and general secretary Shaheen Sultana Beauty, district Tanti Dal general secretary Md Hasinur Rahman Hasu Khan, along with leaders and activists of BNP and its associate and affiliated organisations, were also present on the occasion.
