KISHOREGANJ, Dec 26, 2025 (BSS) – A newly constructed road in Rashidabad Union of Kishoreganj Sadar has been named ‘Shaheed Osman Hadi Road’ to honour Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi, the fearless frontline fighter of the July Uprising and spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha.

A doa-mahfil and inauguration programme were held after Jummah prayers today at the Sagra Bishwaroad signboard intersection under the banner of ‘Kishoreganjbashi’, with participation from people of all walks of life.

Speakers recalled Shaheed Osman Hadi’s sacrifice and described him as a symbol of resistance against injustice. 

They also demanded swift and exemplary punishment for those responsible for his killing.

The programme ended with a special doa seeking eternal peace for Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi.

Hadi, also an aspiring candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency, was shot on December 12 while he was on a battery-run auto-rickshaw in the capital’s Purana Paltan area.
