TANGAIL, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) – BNP Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Pintu and party Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku today collected nomination forms for the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections.

They collected the forms from the Tangail district election office from Senior District Election Officer Mohammad Tajul Islam.

Former state minister Abdus Salam Pintu collected the nomination form for Tangail-2 constituency (Bhuapur and Gopalpur), while Sultan Salahuddin Tuku collected the form for Tangail-5 (Sadar).

Speaking to journalists, Tuku said the nomination forms were collected in compliance with the election code of conduct.

He expressed hope to work with the people for development if he is elected.

Senior District Election Officer Mohammad Tajul Islam said a total of 23 nomination forms have so far been distributed for the district’s eight constituencies.

He said Tangail has 3,334,325 voters and 1,063 polling centres, adding that preparations are underway to ensure a peaceful and festive election on February 12.
