KHULNA, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna City BNP today announced a series of 'joy processions' marking the homecoming of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on December 25.

According to the decision, a citywide procession will be brought out on Monday (December 22) at 3 pm from in front of the party office.

Besides, separate processions will be held on December 23 in all five thanas of the city under the banners of BNP and its associate and affiliated organisations.

The decision was taken at a joint preparatory meeting of Khulna City BNP held on Saturday evening, presided over by City BNP General Secretary Md Shafiqul Alam Tuhin.

Speaking at the meeting, Tuhin said the return of Tarique Rahman to the country on December 25 would be a historic and joyful day for the democracy-loving people of Bangladesh.

He said Tarique Rahman's return after a long time will instill new hope and strength into the people's movement, adding that BNP is now united and democracy would be restored under his leadership.

Leaders of the metropolitan BNP and its thana units were present at the meeting.
