RAJSHAHI, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS)- Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid has said there is no challenge centering the forthcoming parliamentary election in the division.

“We want to hold a peaceful, proper and fair election. We don’t want any deviation in it,” he told journalists.

Bazlur Rashid was talking to the journalists after holding a coordination meeting with all stakeholders of the election and referendum 2026 at Circuit House on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr Muhammad Shahjahan, Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Dr Zillur Rahman, BGB Sector Commander Col Syed Kamal Hossain and Director of Ansar-VDP Shafiqul Islam, among others, were present.

Commissioner Dr Bazlur Rashid said they are now mainly concentrating on strengthening coordination. 

“We will work as per the direction given by the Election Commission and government,” he added.

He said legal action will be taken against those who will be found guilty of influencing the election.
