RANGPUR, Dec 8, 2025 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 on Sunday arrested a fugitive convict, sentenced to five years in a Gaibandha fraud case, from the Boragram Chairmanbari Mor area under Kamrangirchar police station in Dhaka.
 
The arrested is Sheikh Masudur Rahman alias Rubel , 55, son of late Abdur Rahman Sarkar of village Moruadaha under Sundarganj police station of Gaibandha district, said a press release here this afternoon.
 
On a tip off, a joint team of the RAB-13’s Gaibandha Camp and RAB-10’s Lalbagh Camp in Dhaka in a drive arrested fugitive accused Sheikh Masudur Rahman alias Rubel from the Boragram Chairmanbari Mour area in Dhaka at 6:15 pm on Sunday.
 
The accused has been handed over to Sundarganj police station of Gaibandha for further legal action.

Earlier, a court in Gaibandha sentenced him in a fraud case to five years of rigorous imprisonment and issued an arrest warrant against him.
