KHULNA, Dec 7, 2025(BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in 
different drives have arrested an accused in explosive-related cases along 
with cocktail bombs and local weapons from Jashore district.

According to a press release issued by RAB-6 here today, a special team of 
the battalion's CPC-3 camp conducted a drive on Saturday noon, based on 
secret information, in the Chanchra fish fry market area under Jashore 
Kotwali Model Police Station and detained the accused, identified as Murad, 
22.

During the raid, conducted at 12.10 pm, the team recovered a sharp knife and 
one round of ammunition from Murad's possession, RAB sources said.

During primary interrogation, Murad admitted that more cocktail bombs and 
locally-made weapons were kept under his custody at Choramara field near the 
rail gate.

Following his statement, another raid was carried out at 3.30 pm on the same 
day, by the RAB members in which they recovered two cocktail bombs, three 
hasuas (sickle-type sharp weapons), one axe, and an iron rod hidden inside 
thick grass at the spot.

RAB officials said Murad is an accused in two cases filed under the 
Explosives Act, which are currently under trial in court.

Later, he was handed over to Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station along with 
the seized items, and a fresh case was lodged against him under the relevant 
law, the release added.
