CHANDPUR, Dec 05, 2025 (BSS) - Around 200 underprivileged people, including women, received free medical services today at Notun Bazar area of Bishnupur Union in Chandpur Sadar upazila.
The free medical campaign, organised by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Bishnupur Union unit in association with Bishnupur Union Forum in Dhaka, began at 9 am and continued until 1 pm, organisers said.
Three specialist physicians provided medical consultations to patients of different ages during the programme.
Jamaat-nominated parliamentary candidate for Chandpur-3 (Sadar-Haimchar) constituency and district Jamaat secretary Advocate Md Shahjahan Miah inaugurated the campaign.
Speaking at the event, he said that if Jamaat-e-Islami is entrusted with the responsibility of governing the country, it will work to ensure not only medical services but also the fundamental rights of all citizens.
He added that a welfare-oriented state would guarantee equal opportunities for people from all walks of life without discrimination.
Jamaat leader Advocate Abdul Kader Khan and leaders of different levels of the Union Jamaat were also present at the event.
