NAOGAON, Nov 07, 2025 (BSS) - More than five hundred families belonging to the Hindu community and ethnic minority groups have formally joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the Badalgachhi upazila of Naogaon district.
 
Local sources reported that this massive joining was spontaneous. 
 
The event took place at Shurkali field in the upazila on Thursday night around 8 PM. 
 
The new members formally joined the party by presenting flowers to the Upazila BNP leaders. The joining ceremony was organized by the local Mathurapur-Adhaipur Multi-Purpose Youth Welfare Club.
 
Fazle Huda Babul, who was present as the chief guest at the event, is the Joint General Secretary of the Central Krishak Dal Committee and the President of the Badalgachhi Upazila BNP.
 
He has been recently nominated for the Naogaon-3 (Badalgachhi-Mahadevpur) constituency.
 
The new members expressed their trust in Babul, noting that he is well-known to them, a son of the area, and had previously kept contact regarding their well-being. They stated their decision to join was driven by their desire to show him their love and support following his nomination.
