Rajshahi, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS)- The much-anticipated Rajshahi Divisional Book
Fair 2025 will commence tomorrow (Friday) at the Rajshahi Collectorate
ground, continuing for nine days until November 8.
Organised by the Jatiya Grantha Kendra (National Book Center) under the
direction of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the fair is managed by the
Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner's Office.
This was revealed in a press conference held at the conference hall of
Divisional Commissioner Office here this afternoon.
Additional Divisional Commissioner Habibur Rahman addressed the press
conference as the focal person while Additional Deputy Commissioner Sabur
Ali, Deputy Principal Information Officer Muhammad Towhiduzzaman and
Assistant Director of Jatiya Grantha Kendra Enamul Haque also spoke on the
ocassion.
The inaugural ceremony is scheduled for 4 pm, while the closing ceremony will
take place on November 8 at 6 pm.
The fair will remain open daily from 3 pm to 9 pm every working day, with
extended hours on weekends, starting at 11 am and closing at 9 pm.
Habibur Rahman said a total of 70 Dhaka-based creative publishers set up
stalls at the fair premises while different government institutions have 11
stalls. Apart from this, there will also be nine children's corners.
Special stalls for law and order, information centers, medical teams, fire
services, media and food vendors at the fair.
Various topic-based intellectual discussions will enrich the event further.
This year's book fair promises a dynamic blend of literature, culture, and
intellectual engagement, fostering an environment of learning and creativity
for visitors of all ages.
Cultural performances will feature artists from the Shishu Academy. There
will also be a drawing competition for the children.
Additionally, local poets, writers, and publishers will showcase and sell
their works at the fair.
