RANGPUR, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the prime accused in an abduction case and rescued the kidnapped teenage girl of Thakurgaon from Damail Sanghat Para village under Biral Police Station of Dinajpur district on Tuesday.
 
The arrested kidnapper is Md Siam, 22, son of Md Khaledur of Dihanagar village under Pirganj Police Station of Thakurgaon district, a press release said here today.
 
Citing the complaint filed by the plaintiff, the release said that the victim girl, 15, and the accused Md Siam are residents of the same area. 
 
The accused often made various sexual advances to the victim. 
 
At one point, when the victim rejected his proposal of love and illicit relations, the accused threatened to kill the victim. 
 
In this context, when the victim went to the road adjacent to her house at 7 pm on July 22, 2025, accused Md Siam kidnapped her forcibly against the victim's will and took her to an unknown place in a car. 
 
Later, the victim's grandfather filed a kidnapping case with Pirganj Police Station of Thakurgaon in the incident on the same day (July 22, 2025). 
 
A joint team of the RAB-13 Dinajpur Camp in a raid arrested accused Md Siam and rescued the victim girl from the Damail Sanghat Para area at about 4:10 pm on Tuesday.
 
The rescued victim and the arrested accused have been handed over to the Biral Police Station of Dinajpur for further action, the release added.
