CHATTOGRAM, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested Jubo League activist Nurul Mostafa Tipu from the Double Mooring area of the city with arms and ammunition yesterday night.

OC Babul Azad of Double Mooring Police Station confirmed the arrest today.

Nurul Mostafa Tipu, 50, wanted in several cases related to the anti-discrimination movement, had been evading law enforcement. He was finally arrested from the sixth floor of a building near the Government Commerce College area, the OC said.

During the arrest, police recovered multiple weapons from him, including a shotgun, a 9mm pistol, and ammunition.
