MADARIPUR, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS) - The government has taken programme to distribute seeds and fertlizers among 3,750 small and marginal farmers in Shibchar upazila of the district for cultivating Robi crops during the current season.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer H. M. Ibne Mizan inaugurated the distribution programme at the Upazila Agriculture Office premises this morning. 

According to Agriculture Office a total of 3,750 farmers each from 19 unions of the upazila will be provided 1 kg mustard seeds, 10 kg DAP fertilizer and 10 kg MOP fertilizer in phases. 

Additional Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Ripon Chandra Bhadra and Agriculture Extension Officer Agriculturist Afrina Akhter Bina were present as special guests at the programme presided over by Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer of the Upazila Agriculture Office Rafiqul Islam.
