PATUAKHALI, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS) - Seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed among 9,470 small and marginal farmers under the Agricultural Rehabilitation Assistance and Incentive Program at Kalapara upazila of the district today.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kausar Hamid formally inaugurated the program as the chief guest at 10:00 am on the premises of the Upazila Parishad with Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Md. Nahid Hasan is in the chair.

Chemical fertilizers and seeds of various types of rabi crops and vegetables were distributed among the farmers.

Of these, sunflower seeds were distributed among 5,400 farmers.

Kalapara Press Club President Nesaruddin Ahmed Tipu also spoke at the program.
 
Agriculture Officer Nahid Hasan said that in the 2025-2026 fiscal year, free seeds of sunflower, peanut, soybean, mung bean, lentil, khesari, phelon and early winter vegetable were distributed to small and marginal farmers in the Rabi season.
