JHENAIDAH, Oct 28, 2025 (BSS) - Fish fry have been released in a river at Kaliganj upazila of the district on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of Jubo Dal. 

The fish fry were released at the Chitra River Ghat adjacent to the Kalibari Temple around 11:30 am on Tuesday.
Senior Joint Secretary of the Central Swechasebak Dal Saiful Islam Firoz was present as the chief guest. Among others, Upazila Jubo Dal convener Sujauddin Piyal, Municipal Jubo Dal member secretary Zahidul Islam, Upazila Jubo Dal joint convener Mustafa Kamal Tito, Manjurul Haque Khoka, among others, were present.

Chief guest Saiful Islam Firoz said that there is no alternative to fish farming to meet the protein demand of the people of the country. Everyone should take initiatives in their own areas to ensure food security. We need to build fish, poultry, and livestock farms, even on a small scale.
