DHAKA, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) – A man was killed  after being hit by an "unidentified vehicle" on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Jatrabari area early today, Jatrabari police said. 

Sub- Inspector of Jatrabari Police Station Mohammad Nazrul Islam said the accident occurred in front of a restaurant on the Dhaka- Chattogram highway at Jatrabari area at about 3am today. 

He said the deceased was identified as Sadek Khan (58).

Based on preliminary information, the victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot soon after the accident, police said.

Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

The Sub- Inspector said that Sadek Khan, son of Rowshan Ali, hailed from Harirampur in Manikganj district.
