RANGPUR, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the main accused in an abduction case and rescued the kidnapped teenage girl of Nilphamari from the Rangamara area under Trishal police station of Mymensingh district today.
 
The arrested kidnapper is Mohammad Jihad, 19, son of Md Emdadul Haque of the Dharmapal Sardar Hat Majhapara area under Jaldhaka police station in Nilphamari district, a press release said.

Citing the complaint filed by the plaintiff, the release said that accused Mohammad Jihad got acquainted with the victim through Facebook. 

At 7 am on October 10, 2025, accused Mohammad Jihad forcibly kidnapped the minor victim from the Dharmapal Sardar Hat Majhapara area under Jaldhaka police station in Nilphamari district by luring her with marriage. 
 
Later, the victim's father filed a kidnapping case with Jaldhaka police station in Nilphamari district following the incident on October 16, 2025.
 
A joint team of RAB-13's Nilphamari Camp and RAB-14's Mymensingh Camp in a raid arrested the main accused Mohammad Jihad and rescued the minor victim from the Rangamara area under Trishal police station of Mymensingh at 1:55 am today (Saturday).
 
The arrested accused along with the victim have been handed over to Jaldhaka police station of Nilphamari district for further action, the release said.
