RAJSHAHI, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 640 grams of heroin in Seroil Bus Terminal area under Boalia Police Station in the city last night.
 
The arrestees were identified as Asarul Rony, 21, son of Shamsul Ali of Diar Manikchalk village under Godagari Upazila in Rajshahi, and Zahanara Begum, 50, daughter of Hazrat Ali Sheikh of Rail Colony area in Sirajganj district.
 
According to police sources, acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the area around 11:30 pm, arrested the duo, and recovered the contraband item from their possession.
 
RAB sources said the arrestees had been involved in drug trading and trafficking for a long time.
 
A case was filed with Boalia Model Police Station in this connection and the arrested persons along with the seized goods were handed over to police today.
