MUNSHIGANJ, Oct 23, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of Police in Munshiganj arrested general secretary of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Munshiganj city unit Sazzad Hossain Sagor from the city's Demra area early today.

Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station SM Saiful Islam said a total of nine cases, including murder case, were pending against Sagor.

He said Sagor is the main accused of Sajal Molla killing case, who was killed during the anti-discrimination student movement in Munshiganj district. 

Police produced him before the judicial magistrate court seeking 10-day remand over the Sajal murder case.

Later, the court granted 10 days remand. Matristrate Md Ashiqur Rahman passed the order after hearing of the case, Public Prosecutor (PP) Md Halim Hossain said.
