BHOLA, Dec 2, 2021 (BSS) - The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE)
today distributed seeds and fertilizers free of cost as agricultural
incentives among 2,565 small and marginal farmers of Manpura upazila of the
district this noon.

     Upazila Parishad Chairman Selina Akhter Chowdhury distributed the seeds
and fertilizers among the farmers as the chief guest at a function held at
the Hajir Hat Union Parishad premises.

     Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Shamim Miah presided over the
function.

     Upazila agriculture officer Akash Bairagi said wheat, maize, mustard,
sunflower, groundnut, mug and kheshari seeds and chemical fertilizers were
distributed among 2,565 farmers of four unions of the upazila free of cost.

     Chairman of Hajir Hat Union Parishad Md. Nizam Hawlader, Deputy
Assistant Agriculture Officer Md. Anwar Hossain, among others, were present
on the occasion.
