DHAKA, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) – Police have arrested seven leaders and activists of the banned Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies from the city’s various areas.

A team of Detective Branch (DB) under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted raids in different places of the city yesterday (September 17) and arrested them, according to a press release issued today. 

Police suspected that they were linked to attempt to destabilize the country by organizing flash processions in the city.

Legal action is underway against the arrestees.
