BOGURA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - A woman and her daughter were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Dargahat Bazar area of Narhatta union under Kahalu upazila of the district last night.

The deceased were identified as Ainun Nahar Asha, 37, wife of Ratan of Indail village under Adamdighi upazila of the district and her daughter Arat, 6.

The accident took place around 9 pm when a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from opposite direction, leaving the auto-rickshaw passenger Ainun Nahar dead on the spot and her daughter and CNG driver injured, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kahalu Police Station Nitai Chandra Sarkar.

Later, fire service members rescued the injured and took them to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared Arat dead.
