CHATTOGRAM, Sept 13, 2025 (BSS)- A man was arrested on the allegation of stealing goods from a container in a shed at Chattogram Port. 

Saiful Islam Rubel, 33, was caught with the stolen goods and Yaba from Shed No. 13 in the General Cargo Berth (GCB) area on Friday evening, said Port Secretary Omar Faruk.

Port officials said Saiful and some of his accomplices entered in the premises with a truck in the plea of transporting imported sheet coils of a private company.

But, CCTV camera of the security department found that Saiful and others were breaking the container's lid, removing the goods, and loading those in the truck.

Security personnel recovered seven rolls of clothes and four pieces of Yaba from the possession of Saiful, port police said.
