KHULNA, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), Khulna City Unit today organized a ‘Doa Mahfil’ marking the historic victory in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) polls.

The event was held at the central mosque of the Government BL College, where leaders of the organization, college teachers, and general students participated.

Speakers at the gathering stated that DUCSU election marks a victory of the student community against fascism. It is the victory of all July movement forces.

In this connection, they mentioned the proud history of Chhatra Shibir in the past student union elections.

In the future, they said that the organization will work towards building unity in the campuses irrespective of party affiliations.

With Khulna City Unit ICS Secretary Rakib Hasan in the chair, former City Unit President Azizul Islam Farazi, former BL College student union Vice-President (VP) Adv Sheikh Zakirul Islam, former BL College Shibir presidents Ashraf Hossain, Israfil Hossain, Asif Billah, SM Belal Hossain, Ahmed Salehin, Kamrul Hasan, and incumbent BL College Shibir president Hazrat Ali, and secretary Husain Ahmed, among others, spoke on the occasion. 

Later, Maulana Mahmudul Hasan, Chief Imam and Khatib of BL College Central Mosque led a ‘Doa Mahfil’ and offered munajat.
