CHATTOGRAM, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) – Police today arrested the alleged mastermind behind Yaba distribution across the country in the port city.

The arrestee was identified as Md. Kamal Hossain, 34, son of late Zahir Ahmed Master of Sikdarpara in Sabrang village under Teknaf Police Station in Cox’s Bazar district.

Officer-in-Charge Ikhtiar Uddin of Baklia Police Station said earlier on August 26, police arrested a drug trader, Md. Ahsan Habib, from the Baklia area along with 7,200 pieces of Yaba. Based on information given by Habib, police later conducted a raid in Sikdarpara of Teknaf and arrested Kamal Hossain.

He was produced before court for legal action.
