Preparatory meeting held in Khulna for implementation of "Natun Kuri-2025"

KHULNA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS)- A preparatory meeting was held this afternoon at 
the conference room of Khulna Deputy Commissioner to ensure the successful 
implementation of the preliminary selection round of Bangladesh Television's 
(BTV) popular children and adolescents' competitive programme "Natun Kuri-
2025" in Khulna-1 region.

Presiding over the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Md Toufiqur Rahman urged 
everyone to provide wholehearted cooperation for the success of the 
competition. 

He emphasized the importance of performing respective duties responsibly and 
positively.

The meeting also informed that a total of 1,764 applications, so far, have 
been submitted from the Khulna-1 region.
 
The competition will be held in 12 categories, divided into three major 
sections. 

Of the sections, the 'Acting' section includes acting, recitation, 
storytelling or comedy. 'Dance' section includes general dance or classical 
dance and the 'Music' section includes patriotic song or modern song, Nazrul 
songs, Rabindra songs, folk songs and Hamd-Naat.

The five-day long regional competition will also have on-the-spot 
registration booths for candidates who wish to participate instantly.
 
A permanent medical booth will also be set up at the venue. The Khulna-1 
regional competition will take place at the Khulna District Shilpakala 
Academy Auditorium.

It was also announced that the deadline for application submission has been 
extended until September 13, 2025.

The preparatory meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner 
(General) Bitan Kumar Mondal, officials from various government departments 
and other stakeholders.
