TANGAIL, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - Auto-rickshaw and bicycles were distributed among physically-challenged people, extreme poor and village police members in Madhupur upazila of the district today.

Auto-rickshaws and bicycles were distributed among them at Madhupur Upazila Parishad (UP) premises for rehabilitating the disabled and beggars and creating alternative employment for them. 

Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque was present at the function as the chief guest.

Six battery-run auto-rickshaws were distributed among the disabled and extreme poor persons, and bicycles were distributed among 22 village police members.

Besides, food items were distributed among 57 poor people. 

Madhupur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Zubair Hossain, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rifat Anjum Pia, Upazila Social Service Officer Mustafa Hossain, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Rajib Al Rana were present at the event.
