MANIKGANJ, September 5, 2025 (BSS)- A preparatory meeting was held in Manikganj to observe the Durgapuja festival peacefully.

The meeting was held at District Council Auditorium with Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manwar Hossein Molla in the chair.

Manikganj DC urged all to cooperate in arranging the Puja in a peaceful and collective manner with the participation of all.

Chief Executive of the District Council Mehedi Hasan, Additional Police Super Abdullah Al Mamun, Sena Camp representative Captain Shafik and other officials were present.

District BNP convening committee member Satyen Kanti Pandit, Member secretary of Hindu Kalyan Trust Gourango Chandra Sarkar, District Puja Udjapon Parishad vice president Bashudeb Goswami, district Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikko Parishad president Kali Pad Ghosh and district Hindu Mohajot general secretary Taposh Rajbongsi attended the meeting.

The meeting decided to arrange emersion of the deity at the Kaliganga River instead of Reserve Tank area.
