DINAJPUR, Aug 29, 2025 (BSS) - Liton Islam, 32, a resident of Kashipur village under Mohanpur Union in Birganj upazila of the district has become successful in hatching ducklings from eggs through an incubator.
 
He earns about Tk 3 lakh per month by selling these ducklings.
 
His method is becoming popular day by day in the northern part of the country due to its high profit at low cost.
 
Talking to BSS, the young entrepreneur said that his father had been hatching ducklings from eggs using the husk method for the last 12 years.
 
Later, he bought the incubator machine to help his father in his business.
 
 He hatched ducklings from different varieties of duck eggs through that machine.
 
Liton said that since there is a pond next to the house, duck farming is not very difficult for them. 
 
Since the older ducks lay eggs constantly, there is no need to buy extra eggs, he added. Therefore, the profit is high with little cost. 
 
He did not stop at just breeding ducks, producing eggs and selling those. In addition to the local white and black breeds, advanced breeds of ducks from different countries, including China's Jinding, Beijing, Pinky, England's Khaki Campbell and India's Runner, are being raised and bred on his farm. Now Liton is dreaming about this farm.
