MANIKGANJ, Aug, 25, 2025 (BSS) - The World Breast Feeding Day -2025 was observed in Manikganj through various programmes under the auspices of Institution of Public Health Nutrition.

Marking the day, a colourful rally was brought out in the district town with the participation of officials of the Health department, Family Planning and other organizations.

After the rally, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Civil Surgeon.

Dr. Md. Khurshid Alam, Civil Surgeon of Manikganj was present in the function as the chief guest.

Deputy Director of Family Planning Dr. Zakia Akter, Manikganj Sadar upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Lutfar Rahman, Residential Medical Officer (RMO) Manikganj Sadar 250 bed hospital Dr. Towhidul Islam, Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas, World Health Organization (WHO) Representative Dr. Eshita Farha Medical Officer Ayesha Siddiqa, among others, spoke on the occasion.
