BAGERHAT, August 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Coast Guard has seized 250 kg of illegal crabs worth Tk 250,000 near the Khan Jahan Ali Toll Plaza here in the district. 

Coast Guard west zone media officer Muntasir Ibne Mohsin told BSS this afternoon.

On information, the Coast Guard searched a suspicious truck heading from Khulna to Bagerhat at 1:00am today and arrested two persons along with the contraband.

The seized illegal crabs were released into the Rupsha River in the presence of a Khulna Forest Station officer and the arrestees were released on bond.
